Sunburned bodies stay out all day. The sun is pointing at humidity. Freckles on your shoulders that you'll never show, so I spent my daylight savings trying to get back home.
'Cuz Aimee's skipping down the water like a weathered stone, and says, "this creek could be a river with a little flow." She puts on 23, it's amazing, still it seems. (Can I take your picture, hey, Blue Jay? Your color comes together with the scenery. Just like our plans for every Summer.)

It feels like concrete bags laid across my whole chest. These deeps breaths, they feel like calories. Fresh dirt at a funeral for a guy that I once knew. They say that he will always be a hidden treasure.
Blank stares across your room as we wait for the coffee to kick in.
It's not that I doubted you, just since Kevin stopped his smoking. Matt's on the roof to get a view. He's optimistic since he saw it. Hilltop weather vane pointing me in all directions. The problem is, the wind is always blowing in my face.
You talk the birds like you've heard them all before. You can hear them sing, "there goes the boy with the target on his chest." I welcome some shots because this logic is bulletproof. There goes the boy with the target on his chest.
